It is narrated from Hazrat Buraidah (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Learn Surah Al-Baqarah, for acquiring it is a blessing and leaving it is a cause of regret, and the wrongdoers cannot withstand it. Then after remaining silent for a while, he said: Learn both Surah Al-Baqarah and Al-Imran, for these two radiant surahs will provide shade for their reciters on the Day of Resurrection in the form of clouds, canopies, or two flocks of birds, and they will argue on behalf of their reciter.
