Hadith 230

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ عُمَرَ ، قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، أَيَرْقُدُ أَحَدُنَا وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ ؟ قَالَ : نَعَمْ ، إِذَا تَوَضَّأَ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that I asked the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): If a person becomes impure by choice, can he sleep in that state? The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Yes! He should perform ablution and then sleep."
