حدثنا ابن نمير , حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ ، عَنْ عَبدِ اللَّهِ بنِ برَيْدَةَ ، عَنْ أَبيهِ , أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِنَّ عَبدَ اللَّهِ بنَ قَيْسٍ الْأَشْعَرِيَّ أُعْطِيَ مِزْمَارًا مِنْ مَزَامِيرِ آلِ دَاوُدَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Buraidah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Abdullah bin Qais Ash'ari has been given one of the tones of the family of Dawood.
