It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) performed the Zuhr prayer at Dhu’l-Hulayfah, then he had the sacrificial animal brought, drew its blood from the right side and applied it on it, then cleaned off that blood and hung sandals around its neck. Then the riding animal of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was brought, and when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) mounted it and reached the place of Bayda, he recited the Talbiyah for Hajj.
