Hadith 22946

It is narrated from Hazrat Buraidah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not consider anything as a bad omen. However, when he intended to go to a certain place, he would first ask its name. If its name was good, the signs of happiness could be seen on the blessed face of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and if its name was not good, then its effects could also be seen on his blessed face. Similarly, when he sent someone somewhere, he would first ask his name. If his name was good, the signs of happiness could be seen on the blessed face, and if the name was bad, then its effects could also be seen.
