ومن مسند بني هاشمFrom the Musnad of Banu Hashim
مُسْنَدُ عَبْدِ اللّٰهِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ رَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُمَاMusnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them)
Hadith 2294
اُردوEn
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ يُوسُفَ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَا مِنْ أَحَدٍ مِنْ وَلَدِ آدَمَ إِلَّا قَدْ أَخْطَأَ ، أَوْ هَمَّ بِخَطِيئَةٍ ، لَيْسَ يَحْيَى بْنَ زَكَرِيَّا ، وَمَا يَنْبَغِي لِأَحَدٍ أَنْ يَقُولَ أَنَا خَيْرٌ مِنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ مَتَّى عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There is no one among the children of Adam, except for Prophet Yahya (peace be upon him), who has not made a mistake, that is, committed a sin, or intended to commit a sin. And it is not appropriate for anyone to say that I am better than Prophet Yunus (peace be upon him)."
