Hadith 22937

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بنُ الْحَسَنِ يَعْنِي ابنَ شَقِيقٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بنُ وَاقِدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبدُ اللَّهِ بنُ برَيْدَةَ ، عَنْ أَبيهِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " الْعَهْدُ الَّذِي بيْنَنَا وَبيْنَهُمْ الصَّلَاةُ ، فَمَنْ تَرَكَهَا فَقَدْ كَفَرَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Buraidah (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: The distinguishing factor between us and the polytheists is the prayer; therefore, whoever abandons the prayer commits disbelief.
