حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ غَنْمٍ , أَنَّ أَبَا مَالِكٍ الْأَشْعَرِيَّ ، قَالَ لِقَوْمِهِ : فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَ حَدِيثِ سَعيْدٍ ، إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ : وَغَسَلَ قَدَمَيْهِ ، وَقَالَ : وَقَرَأَ فِي الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ الْأُولَيَيْنِ بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ ، وَيُسْمِعُ مَنْ يَلِيهِ.
Hazrat Abu Malik Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) once gathered his companions and said, "Come, I will show you how the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to perform prayer..." Then the narrator mentioned the entire hadith and said: In the first two rak'ahs, he recited Surah Al-Fatihah and made its recitation audible to those behind him.
