حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي مَالِكٍ الْأَشْعَرِيِّ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " أَعْظَمُ الْغُلُولِ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ذِرَاعٌ مِنَ الْأَرْضِ تَجِدُونَ الرَّجُلَيْنِ جَارَيْنِ فِي الْأَرْضِ أَوْ فِي الدَّارِ ، فَيَقْتَطِعُ أَحَدُهُمَا مِنْ حَظِّ صَاحِبِهِ ذِرَاعًا ، إِذَا اقْتَطَعَهُ طُوِّقَهُ مِنْ سَبْعِ أَرَضِينَ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Malik Ashja'i (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet, the Leader of the Two Worlds (peace and blessings be upon him), said: The greatest betrayal in the sight of Allah is betrayal in a span of land. You see that two men are neighbors in a piece of land or a house, yet one of them unjustly takes a span from the other's share. On the Day of Resurrection, the one who does this will have a collar made from that portion out of the seven earths placed around his neck.
