It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that we came with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) having tied the Ihram for Hajj. Upon the command of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), the companions (may Allah be pleased with them) made it the Ihram for Umrah. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "If what has come before me now had come earlier, I would have done as the people have done. But Umrah has been included in Hajj until the Day of Judgment." Saying this, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) interlaced his fingers to demonstrate. In short, all the people opened their Ihram except those who had sacrificial animals with them. Meanwhile, Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) arrived from Yemen. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked him, "With what intention did you tie the Ihram?" He replied, "With the intention of your Ihram." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked, "Do you have a sacrificial animal with you?" He replied, "No." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Remain in the state you are in. I give you one-third of my sacrificial animals." At that time, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had one hundred camels for sacrifice.
