حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ , أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " كَانَ يُسَلِّمُ فِي صَلَاتِهِ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ يَسَارِهِ حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ خَدَّيْهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Sahl (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) would turn to the right and left while saying salam in prayer, he would turn his face so much that the whiteness of his blessed cheek would become visible.
