It is narrated from Hazrat Sahl (may Allah be pleased with him) that he was present in the service of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) when a husband and wife invoked mutual imprecation (li'an) against each other. At that time, I was fifteen years old. The man said, "O Messenger of Allah! If I keep her with me, it is as if I have made a false accusation against her." Then the child born to that woman had the appearance which the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) had expressed dislike for.
