Someone asked Hazrat Sahl (may Allah be pleased with him) how the wound of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was treated. He replied that Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) would bring water in his shield, and Hazrat Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) would wash the blood from his blessed face. Then she took a mat, burned it, and filled the wound with its ashes (which stopped the bleeding).
