حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ ، حَدَّثَنَا صَفْوَانُ ، حَدَّثَنِي حُمَيْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْيَزَنِيُّ ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا سَأَلَ عُبَادَةَ بْنَ الصَّامِتِ عَنْ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ : لَهُمُ الْبُشْرَى فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا سورة يونس آية 64 , فَقَالَ عُبَادَةُ : سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : " لَقَدْ سَأَلْتَنِي عَنْ أَمْرٍ مَا سَأَلَنِي عَنْهُ أَحَدٌ مِنْ أُمَّتِي ، تِلْكَ الرُّؤْيَا الصَّالِحَةُ يَرَاهَا الْمُؤْمِنُ أَوْ تُرَى لَهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Ubadah (may Allah be pleased with him) that I asked the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about the interpretation of Allah Almighty’s statement: "For them are glad tidings in the life of this world and in the Hereafter" , so the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: It means good dreams which a Muslim sees himself or another Muslim sees about him.
