حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ مَوْلَى بَنِي هَاشِمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَرْبٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ , أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةِ : لَهُمُ الْبُشْرَى فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَفِي الآخِرَةِ سورة يونس آية 64 , قَالَ : " هِيَ الرُّؤْيَا الصَّالِحَةُ يَرَاهَا الْعَبْدُ أَوْ تُرَى لَهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Ubadah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about the interpretation of Allah Almighty’s statement: "For them are glad tidings in the life of this world and in the Hereafter" , so the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: It means good dreams which a Muslim sees himself or another Muslim sees about him.
