حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ ثَوْبَانَ لَعَلَّهُ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ ثَابِتِ بْنِ ثَوْبَانَ ، عَنْ عُمَيْرِ بْنِ هَانِئٍ حَدَّثَهُ , عَنْ جُنَادَةَ بْنِ أَبِي أُمَيَّةَ ، عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ ، قَالَ : " مَا لَمْ يَأْمُرُوكَ بِإِثْمٍ بَوَاحًا ".
Al-Walid narrated to us, he said: Ibn Thawban—perhaps ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Thabit ibn Thawban—narrated to me, from ‘Umayr ibn Hani’ who narrated to him, from Junadah ibn Abi Umayyah, from ‘Ubadah ibn al-Samit, from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, similar to that, he said: "As long as they do not command you with manifest sin."
