حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، أَخْبَرَنَا قَتَادَةُ , وَحُمَيْدٌ , عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ حِطَّانَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الرَّقَاشِيِّ ، عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ , أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ " إِذَا نَزَلَ عَلَيْهِ الْوَحْيُ كَرَبَ لَهُ وَتَرَبَّدَ وَجْهُهُ ، وَإِذَا سُرِّيَ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : خُذُوا عَنِّي ، خُذُوا عَنِّي ثَلَاثَ مِرَارٍ قَدْ جَعَلَ اللَّهُ لَهُنَّ سَبِيلًا ، الثَّيِّبُ بِالثَّيِّبِ ، وَالْبِكْرُ بِالْبِكْرِ ، الثَّيِّبُ جَلْدُ مِائَةٍ وَالرَّجْمُ ، وَالْبِكْرُ جَلْدُ مِائَةٍ وَنَفْيُ سَنَةٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Ubadah bin Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) that when revelation would descend upon the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would experience great distress and its effects would be visible on his blessed face. Once, when this state passed, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Take this from me, take this from me. Allah Almighty has determined a way for women: if an unmarried man commits adultery with an unmarried woman, he should be given one hundred lashes and exiled for one year; and if a married man commits adultery with a married woman, he should be given one hundred lashes and also stoned to death."
