Hadith 2268

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that one day when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) woke up in the morning, it was found that the army had no water. So a man came and said: O Messenger of Allah! The army has no water. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked him, "Do you have a little water?" He said: Yes! The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Bring it to me." After a short while, he brought a vessel in which there was very little water. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) placed his fingers on the mouth of the vessel and spread them. Immediately, springs began to gush forth from the fingers of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) to "announce among the people that they should come and take the blessed water."
