حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنِي عُمَيْرُ بْنُ هَانِئٍ الْعَنْسِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنِي جُنَادَةُ بْنُ أَبِي أُمَيَّةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي عُبَادَةُ بْنُ الصَّامِتِ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَنْ تَعَارَّ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ ، فَقَالَ : لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ ، وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ ، سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ ، وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ، وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ ، وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي أَوْ قَالَ : ثُمَّ دَعَاهُ اسْتُجِيبَ لَهُ ، فَإِنْ عَزَمَ فَتَوَضَّأَ ثُمَّ صَلَّى ، تُقُبِّلَتْ صَلَاتُهُ " . .
It is narrated from Hazrat Ubadah bin Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Whoever wakes up at night and says: There is no deity except Allah, He is alone, He has no partner, His is the dominion and His is the praise, and He is powerful over everything. Glory be to Allah, and all praise is for Allah, and Allah is the Greatest, and there is no power and no strength except with Allah. Then if he supplicates: O Lord! Forgive me, or makes any other supplication, it will surely be accepted. Then if he gets up with determination, performs ablution, and offers prayer, his prayer will also be accepted.
