It is narrated from Hazrat Amr bin Faghwa (may Allah be pleased with him) that after the conquest of Makkah, one day the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) called me. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) wanted to send some wealth to Hazrat Abu Sufyan (may Allah be pleased with him) in order to distribute it among the Quraysh in Makkah Mukarramah. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me, "Find another companion for your journey." After a short while, Amr bin Umayyah Damri came to me and said, "I have heard that you are going on a journey and are looking for a companion?" I said, "Yes!" He said, "I will accompany you on the journey." I presented myself before the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, "I have found a companion," because the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had said to me, "When you find a companion, inform me." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked, "Who is he?" I replied, "He is Amr bin Umayyah Damri." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "When you camp in the area of his tribe, be cautious of him, because it is said, 'Do not consider yourself safe even from your real brother.'" Anyway, we set out. When we reached the place of Abwa, Amr said to me, "I have remembered some work among my people in Waddan, please wait for me." I said, "Of course, without hesitation." When he left, I remembered the instruction of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), so I tied my belongings to my camel and quickly rode my camel out of that area. When I reached a place called Asafir, I saw him standing in my way with a group. I increased my speed further and escaped. When he saw that I had escaped from his hands, those people turned back, and Amr came to me and said, "I had some important work among my people." I said, "Very well." Then we set out from there and reached Makkah Mukarramah, and I handed over the wealth to Hazrat Abu Sufyan (may Allah be pleased with him).
