It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the people of Badr were three hundred and thirteen (313) individuals. Among them, seventy-six (76) were Muhajirun. In the Battle of Badr, the polytheists were defeated and suffered a setback on the seventeenth (17th) of Ramadan, on a Friday.
