It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever passes his hand over the head of an orphan boy or girl, only for the sake of Allah, then for every hair over which his hand passes, he will receive good deeds in return. And whoever treats well any orphan boy or girl under his care, I and he will be in Paradise like this—saying this, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) indicated by holding his index and middle fingers slightly apart.
