أَبِي غَالِبٍ , قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ
أَبَا أُمَامَةَ يُحَدِّثُ , عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي قَوْلِهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ : فَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ زَيْغٌ فَيَتَّبِعُونَ مَا تَشَابَهَ مِنْهُ سورة آل عمران آية 7 , قَالَ :
" هُمْ الْخَوَارِجُ " , وَفِي قَوْلِهِ : يَوْمَ تَبْيَضُّ وُجُوهٌ وَتَسْوَدُّ وُجُوهٌ سورة آل عمران آية 106 قَالَ : " هُمْ الْخَوَارِجُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in the explanation of the Divine statement "As for those in whose hearts is deviation..." said that by this is meant the Khawarij. Similarly, in the explanation of "On the Day when some faces will be bright and some faces will be dark," he said that by those with dark faces, the Khawarij are meant.
