Hazrat Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) once described the method of ablution (wudu) from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), mentioning washing each limb of wudu three times. I do not remember the number regarding rinsing the mouth and putting water in the nose. He also said that the ears are part of the head, and further stated that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to rub the sockets of his eyes with his fingers.
