حَدَّثَنَا
وَكِيعٌ , حَدَّثَنَا
ثَوْرٌ , عَنْ
خَالِدِ بْنِ مَعْدَانَ , عَنْ
أَبِي أُمَامَةَ , أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا فَرَغَ مِنْ طَعَامِهِ , أَوْ رُفِعَتْ مَائِدَتُهُ , قَالَ :
" الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ كَثِيرًا طَيِّبًا مُبَارَكًا فِيهِ , غَيْرَ مَكْفِيٍّ , وَلَا مُوَدَّعٍ , وَلَا مُسْتَغْنًى عَنْهُ رَبَّنَا عَزَّ وَجَلَّ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) finished eating or the dining cloth was removed, he would recite this supplication: "All praise is due to Allah, abundant, pure, and blessed praise; not insufficient, nor left, nor independent of it, O our Lord, Most Mighty and Majestic."
