It is narrated from Hazrat Mu'adh (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by a man who was supplicating: "O Allah! I ask You for patience." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You are asking Allah for calamity; rather, ask Allah for well-being." Then he passed by another man who was supplicating: "O Allah! I request from You all blessings." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O son of Adam! Do you know what is meant by 'all blessings'?" He replied: "I hope for the good of the supplication I made." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "All blessings is that a person is saved from Hell and admitted into Paradise." Then he passed by a man who was supplicating by saying: "Ya Dhal-Jalali wal-Ikram (O Possessor of Majesty and Honor)," and he said to him: "Your supplication will be accepted, so ask."
