حَدَّثَنَا حَيْوَةُ بْنُ شُرَيْحٍ , وَيَزِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ رَبِّهِ , قَالَا : حدثَنَا بَقِيَّةُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ , حَدَّثَنِي بَحِيرُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ , عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ مَعْدَانَ , عَنْ أَبِي بَحْرِيَّةَ , عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ , أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سُئِلَ عَنْ لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ , فَقَال : " هِيَ فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ , أَوْ فِي الْخَامِسَةِ , أَوْ فِي الثَّالِثَةِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Muadh bin Jabal, may Allah be pleased with him, that someone asked the Holy Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, about Laylat al-Qadr. The Holy Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "It occurs in the last ten nights, or in the last three or five nights."
