It is narrated from Hazrat Mu'adh (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by a man who was supplicating, "O Allah! I ask You for patience." The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "You are asking Allah for calamity; rather, ask Allah for well-being." (Then he passed by another man who was supplicating by saying, "Ya Dhal-Jalali wal-Ikram," and he said to him, "Your supplication will be accepted, so ask.") He passed by another man who was supplicating, "O Allah! I ask You for all blessings." The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "O son of Adam! Do you know what is meant by 'all blessings'?" He replied, "I hope for the good of the supplication I made." The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "All blessings mean that a person is saved from Hell and admitted into Paradise."
