ومن مسند بني هاشمFrom the Musnad of Banu Hashim
مُسْنَدُ عَبْدِ اللّٰهِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ رَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُمَاMusnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them)
Hadith 2195

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، وَعَفَّانُ , قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، قَالَ عَفَّانُ ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَيُّوبُ ، وَقَيْسٌ , عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَخَّرَ الْعِشَاءَ ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ حَتَّى نَامَ الْقَوْمُ ، ثُمَّ اسْتَيْقَظُوا ، ثُمَّ نَامُوا ، ثُمَّ اسْتَيْقَظُوا ، قَالَ قَيْسٌ : فَجَاءَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ ، فَقَالَ : الصَّلَاةَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ , قَالَ : فَخَرَجَ فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ ، وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ أَنَّهُمْ تَوَضَّئُوا " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) once delayed the ‘Isha prayer so much that the people slept and woke up twice. Then Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) came and said: O Messenger of Allah! (the prayer), upon this the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came out and led them in prayer. The narrator did not mention his performing ablution.
