حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ , حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ , عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ , عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي هِلَالٍ , عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ , عَنْ عُمَيْرٍ مَوْلَى آبِي اللَّحْمِ , عَنْ آبِي اللَّحْمِ , أَنَّهُ " رَأَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عِنْدَ أَحْجَارِ الزَّيْتِ يَسْتَسْقِي وَهُوَ مُقْنِعٌ بِكَفَّيْهِ يَدْعُو " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Umair (may Allah be pleased with him) that he saw the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) standing at a place called "Ahjar al-Zayt" (which is near the place of Zawra), making the supplication for rain (du'a istisqa). At that time, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had the inner sides of his palms facing towards his face.
