حَدِيثُ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ سَفِينَةَ مَوْلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَHadith of Abu 'Abd al-Rahman Safinah, the freed slave of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)
Hadith 21927

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كَامِلٍ , حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ , حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ جُمْهَانَ , عَنْ سَفِينَةَ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ , قَالَ : " أَعْتَقَتْنِي أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ , وَاشْتَرَطَتْ عَلَيَّ أَنْ أَخْدُمَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا عَاشَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Safinah (may Allah be pleased with him) that Hazrat Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) set me free and stipulated the condition that I would continue to serve the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) for the rest of his life.
