ومن مسند بني هاشمFrom the Musnad of Banu Hashim
مُسْنَدُ عَبْدِ اللّٰهِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ رَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُمَاMusnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them)
Hadith 2191

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، وَحَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى الْمَعْنَى , قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : لَا أَعْلَمُهُ إِلَّا قَدْ رَفَعَهُ , قَالَ : " كَانَ إِذَا نَزَلَ مَنْزِلًا فَأَعْجَبَهُ الْمَنْزِلُ أَخَّرَ الظُّهْرَ حَتَّى يَجْمَعَ بَيْنَ الظُّهْرِ وَالْعَصْرِ ، وَإِذَا سَارَ ، وَلَمْ يَتَهَيَّأْ لَهُ الْمَنْزِلُ ، أَخَّرَ الظُّهْرَ حَتَّى يَأْتِيَ الْمَنْزِلَ ، فَيَجْمَعَ بَيْنَ الظُّهْرِ وَالْعَصْرِ " , قَالَ حَسَنٌ : كَانَ إِذَا سَافَرَ فِنَزَلَ مَنْزِلًا .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) (probably as a marfu’ narration) that when he camped somewhere and liked the place, he would delay Zuhr so that he could perform a notional (surī) combination of Zuhr and Asr. And if he was traveling and did not get a chance to camp anywhere, even then he would delay Zuhr so that when he reached a place, he could perform a notional (surī) combination of Zuhr and Asr there.
