Hadith 219

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ ، وَمُؤَمَّلٌ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَئِنْ عِشْتُ لَأُخْرِجَنَّ الْيَهُودَ ، وَالنَّصَارَى مِنْ جَزِيرَةِ الْعَرَبِ ، حَتَّى لَا أَتْرُكَ فِيهَا إِلَّا مُسْلِمًا " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If I remain alive, I will certainly expel the Jews and Christians from the Arabian Peninsula, so that none but Muslims shall remain there."
