ومن مسند بني هاشمFrom the Musnad of Banu Hashim
مُسْنَدُ عَبْدِ اللّٰهِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ رَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُمَاMusnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them)
Hadith 2189

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ زَيْدٍ , عَنْ أَبِي التَّيَّاحِ ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ سَلَمَةَ ، قَالَ : خَرَجْتُ أَنَا وَسِنَانُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، وَمَعَنَا بَدَنَتَانِ , فَأَزْحَفَتَا عَلَيْنَا فِي الطَّرِيقِ ، فَقَالَ لِي سِنَان : هَلْ لَكَ فِي ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ؟ فَأَتَيْنَاهُ ، فَسَأَلَهُ سِنَانٌ , فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ , قَالَ : وَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ : سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْجُهَنِيُّ ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنَّ أَبِي شَيْخٌ كَبِيرٌ ، لَمْ يَحُجَّج ؟ قَالَ : " حُجَّ عَنْ أَبِيكَ " .
Musa bin Salamah says that once Sinan bin Salamah and I set out on a journey from our home, and we had two camels with us. On the way, they became tired, so Sinan said to me: What do you think, should we go to Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them)? Both of us went to him, then the narrator mentioned the entire hadith and said that Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) said that a man from the tribe of Juhainah asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): O Messenger of Allah! My father has become very old, and he has not been able to perform Hajj until now. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Perform Hajj on behalf of your father."
