حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ هُوَ ابْنُ فَارِسٍ , أخبرَنَا يُونُسُ , عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ , عَنِ ابْنِ خُزَيْمَةَ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ صَاحِبِ الشَّهَادَتَيْنِ , عَنْ عَمِّهِ , أَنَّ خُزَيْمَةَ بْنَ ثَابِتٍ الْأَنْصَارِيَّ رَأَى فِي الْمَنَامِ أَنَّهُ سَجَدَ عَلَى جَبْهَةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , فَأَخْبَرَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِذَلِكَ , فَاضْطَجَعَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , وَقَالَ : " صَدِّقْ بِذَلِكَ رُؤْيَاكَ " , فَسَجَدَ عَلَى جَبْهَةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Khuzaymah bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) that once he saw himself in a dream kissing the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) (on his blessed forehead). He presented himself before the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and related this dream. (The Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The soul does not meet the soul.") Then the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) lowered his head before him, so he kissed it.
