مُسْنَدُ عَبْدِ اللّٰهِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ رَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُمَاMusnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them)
Hadith 2184

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الْهَاشِمِيُّ ، أخبرنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي صَالِحُ بْنُ كَيْسَانَ ، وَابْنُ أَخِي ابْنِ شهاب ، كلاهما عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، وَيَعْقُوبُ قَالَ , حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ، عَنْ صَالِحٍ ، قَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ , أَخْبَرَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، أَنَّ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ أَخْبَرَهُ ، قَالَ : " بَعَثَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ حُذَافَةَ بِكِتَابِهِ إِلَى كِسْرَى ، فَدَفَعَهُ إِلَى عَظِيمِ الْبَحْرَيْنِ ، يَدْفَعُهُ عَظِيمُ الْبَحْرَيْنِ إِلَى كِسْرَى , قَالَ يَعْقُوبُ : فَدَفَعَهُ عَظِيمُ الْبَحْرَيْنِ إِلَى كِسْرَى ، فَلَمَّا قَرَأَهُ مَزَّقَهُ , قَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ : فَحَسِبْتُ ابْنَ الْمُسَيَّبِ قَالَ : فَدَعَا عَلَيْهِمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِأَنْ يُمَزَّقُوا كُلَّ مُمَزَّقٍ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) sent his blessed letter to Kisra by Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Hudhafah (may Allah be pleased with him). He gave that letter to the governor of Bahrain appointed by Kisra so that he could present it to Kisra (according to custom). Thus, the governor of Bahrain presented that letter to Kisra. When he read the letter, he tore it up. Imam Zuhri (may Allah have mercy on him) says that, according to my opinion, Sa'id bin al-Musayyib said after this that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) invoked a curse against him, saying: "May he too be completely torn to pieces in the same way."
