Hadith 21821

حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ , أخبرَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ , حَدَّثَنَا عَطَاءٌ , قَالَ : قَالَ أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ : " كُنْتُ رَدِيفَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِعَرَفَاتٍ فَرَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ يَدْعُو فَمَالَتْ بِهِ نَاقَتُهُ , فَسَقَطَ خِطَامُهَا , قَالَ : فَتَنَاوَلَ الْخِطَامَ بِإِحْدَى يَدَيْهِ وَهُوَ رَافِعٌ يَدَهُ الْأُخْرَى " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Usama (may Allah be pleased with him) that in the plain of Arafat, I was riding behind the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) raised his hands for supplication, the she-camel began to lean to one side and its rein fell down. So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) caught the rope with one hand and kept the other hand raised.
