It is narrated from Hazrat Usama (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the day of Arafah, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) seated him behind himself on his mount. People began to say, "Our companion will inform us of what the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did." Hazrat Usama (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that when the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) departed after standing at Arafat, he pulled the head of his mount so much that it touched, or nearly touched, the middle part of the saddle, and the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) began to gesture to the people to remain calm, until they reached Muzdalifah. Then Hazrat Fadl bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) was made to sit behind him. People began to say, "Our companion will inform us of what the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did." Accordingly, he reported that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) continued to move slowly as he had the previous day, except that when he reached the valley of Muhassir, he quickened his pace until he had passed through it.
