ومن مسند بني هاشمFrom the Musnad of Banu Hashim
مُسْنَدُ عَبْدِ اللّٰهِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ رَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُمَاMusnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them)
Hadith 2179

(حديث موقوف) حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَاصِمٍ ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ لِي ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ : يَا سَعِيدُ أَلَكَ امْرَأَةٌ ؟ قَالَ : قُلْتُ : لَا , قَالَ : فَإِذَا رَجَعْتَ فَتَزَوَّجْ , قَالَ : فَعُدْتُ إِلَيْهِ ، فَقَالَ : يَا سَعِيدُ : أَتَزَوَّجْتَ ؟ قَالَ : قُلْتُ : لَا , قَالَ : تَزَوَّجْ ، فَإِنَّ خَيْرَ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ أَكْثَرُهُمْ نِسَاءً " .
Hazrat Saeed bin Jubair (may Allah have mercy on him) says that once (I met Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them), he asked me, "Have you gotten married?" I replied, "No." He said, "Get married." Some time passed after this. When we met again, he asked the same question, "Have you gotten married now?" I again replied in the negative. Upon this, he said, "Get married, because the best person in this Ummah (i.e., the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him) had many wives (so you should at least marry one, if not four)."
