حَدَّثَنَا عَارِمُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ , حَدَّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرٌ , عَنْ أَبِيهِ , قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا تَمِيمَةَ يُحَدِّثُ , عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ النَّهْدِيِّ , يُحَدِّثُهُ أَبُو عُثْمَانَ , عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ , قَالَ : كَانَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَأْخُذُنِي , فَيُقْعِدُنِي عَلَى فَخِذِهِ , وَيُقْعِدُ الْحَسَنَ بْنَ عَلِيٍّ عَلَى فَخِذِهِ الْأُخْرَى , ثُمَّ يَضُمُّنَا , ثُمَّ يَقُولُ : " اللَّهُمَّ ارْحَمْهُمَا فَإِنِّي أَرْحَمُهُمَا " , قَالَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمَدِينِيِّ : هُوَ السَّلِّيُّ مِنْ عَنَزَةَ إِلَى رَبِيعَةَ يَعْنِي أَبَا تَمِيمَةَ السَّلِّيَّ.
It is narrated from Hazrat Usama (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would sometimes take hold of me and seat me on one of his thighs, and seat Hazrat Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him) on the other, then embrace us and say: O Allah! Since I show mercy to both of them, so You also have mercy on them.
