ومن مسند بني هاشمFrom the Musnad of Banu Hashim
مُسْنَدُ عَبْدِ اللّٰهِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ رَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُمَاMusnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them)
Hadith 2178
اُردوEn
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَمَّارُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ابْنُ أُخْتِ سُفْيَانَ الثَّوْرِيِّ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ ، عَنْ كُرَيْبٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَيَعْجِزُ أَحَدُكُمْ إِذَا أَتَى أَهْلَهُ أَنْ يَقُولَ : بِسْمِ اللَّهِ ، اللَّهُمَّ جَنِّبْنِي الشَّيْطَانَ ، وَجَنِّبْ الشَّيْطَانَ مَا رَزَقْتَنِي ، فَإِنْ اللَّهُ قَضَى بَيْنَهُمَا فِي ذَلِكَ وَلَدًا ، لَمْ يَضُرَّهُ الشَّيْطَانُ أَبَدًا " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If a person, when approaching his wife for intimacy, recites this supplication: «بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ اللّٰهُمَّ جَنِّبْنِي الشَّيْطَانَ وَجَنِّبْ الشَّيْطَانَ مَا رَزَقْتَنِي» 'In the name of Allah, O Allah! Protect me from Satan and protect whatever offspring You grant us as a result of this meeting from Satan,' then if it is decreed that they have a child, Satan will never be able to harm that child."
