حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ , حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا بْنِ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ , عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ , عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ , عَنْ عُرْوَةَ , عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ , قَالَ : دَخَلْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أُبَيٍّ فِي مَرَضِهِ نَعُودُهُ , فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " قَدْ كُنْتُ أَنْهَاكَ عَنْ حُبِّ يَهُودَ " , فَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ : فَقَدْ أَبْغَضَهُمْ أَسْعَدُ بْنُ زُرَارَةَ فَمَاتَ.
It is narrated from Hazrat Usama bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I went with the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to visit (the chief of the hypocrites) Abdullah bin Ubayy. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him, "I used to forbid you from loving the Jews." He replied, "As'ad bin Zurarah (may Allah be pleased with him) has already turned away from them (that is sufficient)." After saying this, he died after some time.
