حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ , أَخبرنا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ , قَالَ : قُلْتُ لِعَطَاءٍ : أَسَمِعْتَ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ , فَذَكَرَ قِصَّةً , وَلَكِنِّي سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ : أَخْبَرَنِي أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ , أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَمَّا دَخَلَ الْبَيْتَ دَعَا فِي نَوَاحِيهِ كُلِّهَا , وَلَمْ يُصَلِّ فِيهِ حَتَّى خَرَجَ , فَلَمَّا خَرَجَ رَكَعَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ فِي قِبَلِ الْكَعْبَةِ , وَقَالَ : " هَذِهِ الْقِبْلَةُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Usama bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) entered the House of Allah, he supplicated in all its corners but did not perform prayer there. Rather, he came outside, faced towards the Ka'bah, and performed two rak'ahs, and said: "This is the Qiblah."
