حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ , حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي حَفْصَةَ , حَدَّثَنَا الزُّهْرِيُّ , عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ حُسَيْنٍ , عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ عُثْمَانَ , عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ , أَنَّهُ قَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ , أَيْنَ تَنْزِلُ غَدًا إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّه ؟ وَذَلِكَ زَمَنَ الْفَتْحِ , فَقَالَ : " هَلْ تَرَكَ لَنَا عَقِيلٌ مِنْ مَنْزِلٍ ؟ " , ثُمَّ قَالَ : " لَا يَرِثُ الْكَافِرُ الْمُؤْمِنَ , وَلَا الْمُؤْمِنُ الْكَافِرَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Usama bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that he asked, "O Messenger of Allah! Where will we camp tomorrow, if Allah wills?" This was on the occasion of the conquest of Makkah. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Has Aqeel left any house for us?" Then the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "No Muslim can be the heir of a disbeliever, and no disbeliever can be the heir of a Muslim."
