حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ , حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ , عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ , عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ , أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ مِنْ أَبا ذَرٍّ وَأَبِا الدَّرْدَاءِ , أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِنِّي لَأَعْرِفُ أُمَّتِي يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مِنْ بَيْنِ الْأُمَمِ " , قَالُوا : يَا نبي اللَّهِ , وَكَيْفَ تَعْرِفُ أُمَّتَكَ ؟ قَالَ : " أَعْرِفُهُمْ يُؤْتَوْنَ كُتُبَهُمْ بِأَيْمَانِهِمْ , وَأَعْرِفُهُمْ بِسِيمَاهُمْ فِي وُجُوهِهِمْ مِنْ أَثَرِ السُّجُودِ , وَأَعْرِفُهُمْ بِنُورِهِمْ يَسْعَى بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) and Abu Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: On the Day of Resurrection, I will recognize my Ummah among the other communities. The people asked, "O Messenger of Allah! From Hazrat Nuh (peace be upon him) until you, how will you recognize your Ummah among all the communities that have come?" The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The foreheads of the people of my Ummah will be radiant and shining due to the effects of ablution; this quality will not be found in anyone else. And I will also recognize them in that their books of deeds will be in their right hands, and their light will be running ahead of them.
