Abu Habibah (may Allah have mercy on him) says that a man, at the time of his death, made a bequest to spend some dinars from his wealth in the way of Allah. Hazrat Abu Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) was asked about this, so he narrated this hadith from the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him): Whoever, at the time of death, frees a slave or gives charity, his example is like that of a person who gives away what is left over after he has quenched his own thirst.
