حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " جَعَلَ الرُّقْبَى لِلَّذِي أُرْقِبَهَا ، وَالْعُمْرَى لِلَّذِي أُعْمِرَهَا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Zaid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) declared "Umari" and "Ruqba" (a property handed over to someone for a lifetime) as the right of the heir.
