حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَيُّوبَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَيَّاشٍ ، عَنْ مُطَرِّفٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْجَهْمِ ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ وُهْبَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ ، كَيْفَ أَنْتَ عِنْدَ وُلَاةٍ يَسْتَأْثِرُونَ عَلَيْكَ بِهَذَا الْفَيْءِ ؟ ! قَالَ : قلت : إذا وَالَّذِي بَعَثَكَ بِالْحَقِّ ، أَضَعُ سَيْفِي عَلَى عَاتِقِي ، فَأَضْرِبُ بِهِ حَتَّى أَلْحَقَكَ ، قَالَ : " أَفَلَا أَدُلُّكَ عَلَى مَا هُوَ خَيْرٍ لَكَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ ؟ تَصْبِرُ حَتَّى تَلْقَانِي " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: "What will your condition be when, after me, the rulers will give preference to others over you in the spoils of war?" I said, "Then by the One Who sent you with the truth, I will place my sword on my shoulder and fight them until I meet you." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Shall I not show you a better way than this? Be patient until you meet me."
