It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that whenever the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had cupping done, he would have it done on the veins on both sides of the neck. On one occasion, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) called a slave from Banu Bayadah, and he performed the cupping. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave him one and a half mudd of wheat as payment, and spoke to his masters regarding this matter, so they reduced it by half a mudd, otherwise previously it was a full two mudd.
