حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ ثَوْبَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ مَكْحُولٍ ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ نُعَيْمٍ ، عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ سَلْمَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَيَغْفِرُ لِعَبْدِهِ مَا لَمْ يَقَعْ الْحِجَابُ " ، قَالُوا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، وَمَا وُقُوعُ الْحِجَابِ ؟ قَالَ : " أَنْ تَمُوتَ النَّفْسُ وَهِيَ مُشْرِكَةٌ " . .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah Almighty continues to accept His servant’s repentance until the veil occurs. I asked, “What is meant by the veil occurring?” The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: That a person’s soul departs while he is a polytheist.
